Medtech software development firm MedAcuity today said it has hired Simon Johnson as SVP of business development.
Westford, Massachusetts-based MedAcuity said Johnson previously built the client partner team and managed strategic clients at digital consultancy Mobiquity. He also served as SVP of client services at GreenPages Technologies, responsible for driving services revenue growth leading to the company’s acquisition by Abry Partners in December 2020.
“Simon has a proven record of success in sales leadership, combined with consulting services expertise with an emphasis on client-focused practices,” MedAcuity said in a news release. “Simon has extensive experience working directly with client organizations in biotech, healthcare technology, financial services, retail and manufacturing. He has held leadership consulting services and sales roles in North America, LATAM and EMEA.”
MedAcuity also announced adding Brian Kaputa to its management team as director of the Project Management Office meant to improve execution throughout a project’s lifecycle.
Kaputa previously held project and program management roles focused primarily on FDA-regulated entities with cold chain and logistics performance solutions company Sensitech. Before that he was senior project manager for clinical systems at Parexel and a program manager for Medtronic with a focus on software validation, and packaging and labeling systems for the cardiovascular division.
“We are proud to continue growing our management team with the additions of Simon, Brian and other strategic hires who share our passion for delivering high-quality, high-value services to accelerate the development of software solutions for critical applications for all classes of medical devices and regulated robotics,” MedAcuity co-founder and President Dennis Fuccione said in the news release. “We are confident Simon’s background will advance our business development efforts and Brian’s cross-industry success applying lean and process improvement principles into systems development and validation will benefit MedAcuity clients significantly.”
